While the firm supports many charitable causes, we are most actively involved with The Shade Tree, a Southern Nevada homeless shelter that serves homeless and abused women and children of domestic violence, elder abuse, street violence, homeless youth and physically disabled. The Shade Tree is the largest of it's kind in the state with 364 permanent beds and 24-hour accessible shelter that can meet the needs of the women and children in Southern Nevada. For more information on The Shade Tree please go to www.theshadetree.org.
"Karly's role as a volunteer with the women and children of The Shade Tree has been a tremendous asset to us. She has not only donated her valuable time and skills to the organization as a whole, but has established special bonds with a few of our residents and has acted as a mentor. Volunteers are our lifeblood, and it's because of outstanding and generous ones like Karly that inspire us as employees to give back to our community and continue to work hard to serve our clients. We appreciate all you do for us Karly!"

“Karly Urata has been a volunteer with Olive Crest for three years. On top of being involved herself with our activities, she has also gotten all of her employees involved. There have been numerous times when some of her employees have helped when we needed to haul heavy items around or pick up donations. They are always willing to jump in and help out – no matter what the situation. For a nonprofit organization, it is vital that we have volunteers who are willing to lend a hand wherever needed and Karly and all the employees at K & K Construction are truly Angels in our eyes!”

“These are foundations that are dear to my heart. As a local businesswoman, it is important for me to give back to our community. By helping children to succeed, we are assuring a brighter future for everyone!”
